PEE WEE - COACH PITCH - AMERICAN LEAGUE - NATIONAL LEAGUE

NLYB GENERAL RULES

Revised  3/20/07

1.         All games must be played as scheduled.  Changes must be approved by Scheduling committee.

2.        Games will consist of 6 innings.  In case of tie, game will be played out until a winner is determined.

3.        Managers will automatically have their own children on their team.

4.         All games start at 6:00PM unless otherwise stated.  Any team without (7) players fifteen minutes after scheduled start time will forfeit.   An out will not count for the short players.

5.         Continuous Batting will be used in all leagues. 

6.         Any player disciplinary issues should be discussed with the players parents and NLYB Board.

7.         Home team occupies the Third Base Dugout and Visitors occupy the First base Dugout.  Home team will have the field until 5:45 and Visitors from 5:45-6:00PM

8.         Return Game Balls from each game to be reused.

9.         All bats must be Little League approved.

10.      Games called because of rain will be rescheduled and resumed from the point they were stopped.  Unavailable players will be removed from the batting order.  New players will be added at the bottom.  Innings pitched rules do not restart.

11.      Overthrown balls out of play rules that the runner will receive the base they are going to plus one.  Equipment interference will be treated the same.

12.      Home Team manager is responsible for equipment pickup and return, along with the official score keeping, by a responsible adult (underage score keeper must be approved by the Visiting Manager

13.      Visiting manager is responsible for obtaining an Adult Base umpire who is familiar with the rules.

14.     In the event of a disagreement over a rule the Managers of each Team and the Home Base Umpire should discuss and resolve the situation.  If an agreement can not be reached the Umpires decision will stand.  A protest should be handled as follows: JUDGEMENT CALLS CAN NOT BE PROTESTED

A.        Inform the Umpire and the opposing Team (AT THE TIME OF THE EVENT) that you are protesting the game (YOU CAN NOT PROTEST AFTER THE GAME IS FINISHED).  A note should be made on the official score sheet at the point in the game that the protest happened.

B.        Both managers and the Umpire must report to NLYB Board.  The Boards decision will be final.

15.      No Infield fly rules.

16.      Pitcher must have one foot on the rubber when they release the ball.

17.      NO METAL SPIKES ALLOWED.
